Alex Fitzpatrick is a zooarchaeologist and completing PhD researcher at the University of Bradford, UK. Her current research is focused on the ritual and funerary use of faunal bones from Late Prehistoric sites within the Covesea Caves, located in Scotland. Ms. Fitzpatrick is also an avid science communicator; this includes hosting a zooarchaeology podcast called “ArchaeoAnimals” on the Archaeology Podcast Network, as well as blogging at her website, www.animalarchaeology.com.
