Rachel Havrelock is a professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), where she directs the UIC Freshwater Lab. The Freshwater Lab generates research and policy on transboundary water systems and climate change adaptation; trains a new generation of water leaders; and creates public-facing media like FreshwaterStories.com and the BackwardRiver.org. Rachel’s current work encompasses water recycling as a solution to flooding, drought and the movement of species and pollutants.
Elizabeth Rodriguez (Essence555) is a Chicago born and raised Puerto Rican Warrior who has spent 40 years as a Communication Arts Enthusiast, attending live performances since 1987! Highlights close to her heart are Motherhood, Chicago FlyPaper published interview with Grammy Award-winning artist Lady Bug Mecca of Digable Planets, performance in the University of Illinois at Chicago Vagina Monologues production, obtaining her B.A. in Marketing Communications from Columbia College Chicago and completing Mental Health First Aid. Elizabeth’s intuition has called her to express her experiences creatively with the purpose to evolve, inform and heal herself and the collective.
Janki Mody (JAHN-kee MO-thee) is a women's reproductive, infertility, and pregnancy loss advocate. She has written, produced, and performed two solo shows, The MTHFR Gene: Evidence of a Uterus in Crisis, and This is All Fine. Janki is the child of immigrants. She is mother to two boys with luscious thick hair and unnecessarily lengthy eyelashes. Recent pandemic achievements include: changing out of jammies, drinking more water than coffee, and producing the storytelling show Pandemic Stories, through Lifeline Theatre's Fillet of Solo Festival.
