Gastor Almonte is a storyteller and stand up comedian based out of Brooklyn, NY. Gastor will be appearing on season 3 of "This Is Not Happening" on Comedy Central. He is the founder and host of Stoops2Stages, a weekly interview series featuring many talented independent artist from the worlds of music and comedy. He performs throughout the east coast, and has been a regular guest at QED Astoria, UCB and the NY Times featured Liar Show. GastorAlmonte.com
Neil Bardhan lives in Philadelphia. He studied cognitive science at The Johns Hopkins University and then earned a Ph.D. in Brain and Cognitive Sciences at the University of Rochester. His academic career included researching psycholinguistics in The Netherlands and teaching linguistics in Germany. He now works in science communication consulting; he offers one-on-one coaching services and works as part of the improvscience team to transform scientists' communication and collaboration practices. Throughout Philadelphia, Neil enjoys building community, both in person and using social media, and producing events. He is a company member at PHIT Comedy and as part of the shortform improv group The N Crowd. With First Person Arts, Neil has been involved with numerous storytelling projects over the years, including the annual First Person Arts festival and the Commonspace series on WHYY.
Grayson Earle’s diverse technological practice is unified by a political approach to media making. Employing video games, video projection, algorithmic audiovisual generation, biological organisms, and robotics, his work tends to intervene on physical spaces and entrenched ideas. His creative practice articulates a repositioning of resistance to power that invites participation from reluctant citizens. Earle lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. He teaches at Hunter College, split between the Computer Science, Film and Media, Integrated Media Arts, and Studio Art MFA programs. This interdisciplinary posture is emblematic to his work as an artist, and is an approach he proselytizes in his courses on game programming, electronics, and generative art.
Sandi Marx, a retired talent agent, has been telling stories all over NY and LA for the last two years. A seven time Moth champion, Sandi can also be heard on many podcasts such as Risk, Modern Story Mix, Soundtrack Series and many others. She's also just premiered her first solo show," You'll Be Sorry" part of the Dead Parents Club Festival for the Tank.
Deena Walker is a postdoctoral fellow at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine where she studies the molecular mechanisms of addiction and depression. She recently moved to New York after finishing her PhD at The University of Texas at Austin in December 2012. When she's not in lab she enjoys practicing yoga and playing fetch with her dog in Central Park.
