Zak Shusterman started working in an NYU neuroscience lab when he was 16 and went to Cornell to become a veterinarian. Curiosity led him astray; first postponing graduate school to travel as a software consultant, and then getting the wrong graduate degrees. Today, Zak’s a lawyer working with creative initiative and nonprofits, with an emphasis on the arts and social services. He works with large charities and famous artists as readily as neighborhood community groups. Along the way, he co-founded the Hudson Valley’s longest running storytelling series – Pros(e) of Pie. Zak still wants to become a veterinarian.
