Online Story Hour - The Unknown

Thursday, August 6 at 7 pm ET, join us for our online live show! Three storytellers from the Story Collider team and beyond will be sharing their stories on the theme "Unknown," and we'll invite our audience to share their ten-word stories as well!

Born and raised in Panama City, on March 23, 1978, Edgardo J. Griffith is a young 42-year-old conservation biologist who is married to a Wisconsinite, Heidi, and they have a 9-year-old, Eliot. Edgardo obtained his undergrad in Biology from University of Panama and is currently a graduate student at the same University. Edgardo is passionate about nature, especially amphibians, but he loves reptiles as well. He is a certified research tree climber and has obtained several certificates in a variety of scientific fields, (ecology, genetics, ecosystem services, and watershed conservation). Edgardo is also a specialist in setting up amphibian captive breeding programs in Panama, a community leader, and an off-road enthusiast.

Ken Haller is a pediatrician, educator, singer, writer, advocate, actor, activist, improviser, nightclub impresario, dog parent, cabaret performer, bicyclist, trekkie, local celebrity, board member many times over, uncle many times over, and storyteller. He was born in Pittsburgh, grew up on Long Island, was educated in Omaha, became a pediatrician in New York City, and has lived in St. Louis for over thirty years. He is happy to have just qualified for Medicare and is even happier that he is healthy enough that he has not yet had to use it. He is proud to be a current board member of the Story Collider and hopes that the time and energy he spends in the various spheres of his life have been a path to healing.

Tamanna Rahman is a psychiatric nurse practitioner working with teens and young adults. Prior to becoming a nurse, Tamanna worked as a social worker and labor organizer. She is committed to working for a more just and empowering mental health system. She resides in New Haven, CT with her partner, 6 month old baby, and giant Newfoundland dog.
