Eri Saikawa is an Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences, jointly appointed in the Gangarosa Department of Environmental Health at Emory University. She started the Emory Climate Talks webinar series since March. She studied chemistry and biotechnology at the University of Tokyo, Japan for her bachelor’s degree and then received Master of Public Affairs at Indiana University, Bloomington, studying environmental policy and natural resource management. She pursued her Ph.D. in the Science, Technology and Environmental Policy program at Princeton University. She was a Postdoc and a Research Scientist at Massachusetts Institute of Technology before she joined Emory in 2013.
Emma Yarbrough is a writer and performer from Atlanta, Georgia. By day, she works as the Communications Manager for the Arts at Emory University. By night, she watches British murder mysteries and plays with her kitten, Christopher Robin. Find her at @emmayarbs on instagram and twitter.
Muhsinah L. Holmes Morris, Ph.D is the Academic Program Director (APD) and Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Morris has a B.S. in Chemistry from Clark Atlanta University and a M.S. and Ph.D. in BioMolecular Chemistry from Emory University. She works part time as the science research coordinator for Upward Bound Math & Science State program at Morehouse College. Her research consists of her working in the Morehouse Makerspace Exploration Center, 3D Printing Laboratory Equipment for those with Autism and other Developmental Disorders. Dr. Morris is originally from Decatur, GA and resides in McDonough, GA with her husband, Chris, their 5 sons, Anthony, Matthew, Christopher, Seth and Cameron and her mother-in-law, Nina. Two of her sons have an autism diagnosis. She is the CEO of Molding of Minds (M.O.M.) Learning Academy and hosts Super Science Saturdays for neurodiverse learners with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to participate in STEM in an inclusive environment. She is an autism mom, a Volunteer Advocacy Ambassador and Grant Review Committee Member for Autism Speaks. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and she sits on the board of She Steams, a non-profit to boost the economic empowerment of women. Her purpose in life is to create inclusivity in STEAAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, agriculture, and math).
