Christa Avampato is an award-winning author, journalist, and storyteller. Her writing has appeared in The Washington Post, Kirkus Magazine, and Royal Media Publications. She is the creator, producer, and host of New York City's Secrets and Lies, a monthly storytelling show about secret New York City history housed at Caveat. Christa works full-time in the field of product development and just started grad school round 2. She's now working on a Master of Science in Biomimicry. Her goal is to literally building a better world rooted in nature's wisdom so we can live in a way that supports the life of all beings. John Bohorquez is working towards a Ph.D. at Stony Brook University’s School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences.  There, he works on developing solutions for marine conservation blending his academic and professional experience across marine ecology, economics, and finance.  A native New Yorker, he now lives in Jackson Heights, Queens.  And outside of the house, you can usually find him wearing a pair of soccer cleats, skis, or rock-climbing shoes.

Kate Downey (CAVEAT Creative Director and co-founder) creates live events that make you fall in love with things you thought were boring. As Creative Lead at Museum Hack, she pioneered interactive object based storytelling at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and taught workshops in engaging millennials at museums across the country. Past theater work with the Public, Cherry Lane, Prague Shakespeare Festival, Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, and New York City Opera.

Dr. Edith Gonzalez is a native Nuyorican with four graduate degrees in various sub-disciplines of anthropology/archaeology. By day, she is an historical anthropologist and senior administrator at the City University of New York; researching capitalism, introduction of non-native species, and bio-prospecting in the 18th-century, English-speaking Caribbean. By night, she has a "slight" obsession with Lord of the Rings, and the dance intersection of late 70's disco and early 80's punk. She has performed at Take Two Storytelling, The Dump, and Under St Marks (among others). As a two-time Smut Slam champion, she also enjoys telling dirty stories to a room full of strangers.

Zack Stovall is a writer, producer, cartoonist, and comedian. He currently produces the Story Collider and has performed stand-up and sketch comedy across the South, Midwest, and New York. Zack has written for St. Louis Magazine and Vulture, and is the author of a collection of cartoons, 'Fancy Things.' He currently lives in New York City with his wife, Rebekah, and their goldendoodle, Newman. Zack tweets as @zstovall and lost most of his hair sometime in 2009.
