Stories by:

Brian Bradley started writing because he couldn’t draw. At first he wanted to be a poet, but he quickly discovered that poems are pretty difficult. Next, he tried dramatic stage plays, but the results were kind of embarrassing.  Finally, he gave up and started writing television for shows like MadTV, Scrubs and Happy Endings. He co-created for television Uncle Buck for ABC and is the writer/producer of a number of TV pilots he’s very proud to have been paid for, but that you will probably never see. He’s very pleased to have a chance to share a story for Story Collider and he still can’t draw.

Ve Magni headshot-web.jpg

Ve Magni is a writer, editor, activist, and all-around polymath from mostly Los Angeles, but also a lot of other places. She has studied five languages and invented one, and when she's not working as a hired word-assassin for translated text, her linguistic talents contribute to a crippling inability to edit her own science fiction novel without needing to scream into a pillow. Her cats, Zaphod and Beeble, are absolutely useless assistants, but they do help her procrastinate, which is an essential part of the writing process. Ve has also been a fashion model, rock musician, cabaret performer, comedian, actor, visual/performance artist and clown. She also knows how to fly an airplane, and is pretty dang proud of it.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Emily Sikking was educated on the East Coast at Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y. for undergraduate and George Washington University Medical School in Washington, DC, and she trained in obstetrics and gynecology at New England Medical Center in Boston.  She has been practicing general obstetrics and gynecology for 16 years and is currently in private practice in Santa Monica.

Highlighted by VICE for her “wry observational comedy, radical openness, and casually inviting demeanor,” Riley Silverman has been seen on Take My Wife, Comedy Central’s Not Safe with Nikki Glaser, and headlining 2017’s Portland Queer Comedy Festival and the All Jane Comedy Festival. Her debut comedy album, Intimate Apparel, was a #1 best seller on Amazon. Riley is the head writer for the International Waters comedy panel show podcast, was a body diversity model for the fashion brand ModCloth, and was listed as one of 100 Queer Women We Love by GO Magazine, and “10 Women Comedians Who Smash the Patriarchy” by The Culture Trip.
