Stories by:

Lynn Bixenspan is the host and producer of Relationshit, a storytelling and onstage therapy show with actual therapists. She's appeared on Risk, MTV, Comedy Central, and most importantly, once died on Celebrity Ghost Stories.

Eva Chebishev (she/her) is a PhD candidate in the lab of Dr. Ana Fernandez-Sesma in the Microbiology department at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Her research focuses on the immune response to Dengue virus and the determinants of severe and mild disease outcome. When she finally finishes this PhD, she aims to engage in more public outreach and science communication. Outside of the lab, she volunteers with "Hands On Science'', on the Mount Sinai Kravitz Children's hospital's closed circuit broadcasting network, “KZTV”, as well as "Science Saturdays with NYC BioBus.” She also performs in and helps run the annual “Sinai Story Project”, a student-run showcase of original stories from the ISMMS student body (4 years performing + 1 year directing). As a former "theatre kid," she loves attending live performances, dabbling in community theatre, and singing any chance she gets. If she had a nickel for every spontaneous science-themed parody of a musical theatre song that she accidentally came up with, she would have 7 nickels, which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it keeps happening right? She is also passionate about equal opportunities in science, DIH initiatives, mental health advocacy, the intricacies of host-pathogen interactions, and tabletop games.

Esmond Fountain is a comedian based in NYC who you might've seen on the 2, 3, or 4 MTA lines. He's the most private person you'll ever meet, and for those looking for an "in," - french fries are the way to his heart. He's so happy to grace the Story Collider stage!

New York City based Research Coordinator Sanjana Murthy is thrilled to be here. Her lab's work at Mount Sinai (Dept of Psychiatry, Center for Advanced Circuit Therapeutics) identifies neurophysiological biomarkers to improve treatment for depression.  She holds a B.S. in Brain and Behavioral Sciences from Purdue University, where she curated shows for the TEDxPurdueU stage.

Matt Storrs is a comedian and storyteller based out of NYC and originally from Phoenix, AZ. He's appeared on The Moth and has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Matt has written and performed two solo shows: “Portly Lutheran Know-It-All” about his time attending a religious middle school and "No Bones About It" about his lifelong love: dinosaurs. He hosts a podcast called Mattsplaining where he tells experts what he "knows" about their area of expertise and then has the experts correct him. Matt Storrs is a humor person.
