Weekly Online Story Hour - The Outdoors

Friday, May 8th at 7 pm ET, join us for our eighth weekly online live show! Three storytellers from the Story Collider team and beyond will be sharing their stories on the theme "The Outdoors," and we'll invite our audience to share their ten-word stories as well!

Gwynn Hogan is a reporter and producer in the WNYC newsroom who seems to keep ending up covering disease and communities from measles to COVID-19. She's also a proud assistant on the Story Collider’s podcast production team and is excited to make her virtual storytelling debut with the show.

Ari Daniel is a senior digital producer at NOVA and independent science reporter. He uses multimedia to tell stories about science using radio, video, and online games. He received his PhD in biological oceanography, tagging wild Norwegian killer whales. In the fifth grade, he won an award for most contagious smile.

Ali Mattu creates entertaining, empowering, and educational mental health media. He’s a cognitive behavioral therapist who helps kids and adults with anxiety disorders. Through YouTube, Dr. Mattu teaches a global audience how to use psychological science to achieve their goals. He sparks conversations about mental health through storytelling performances, school assemblies, and pop culture conventions.
