The Moth is the mothership organization for modern storytelling. They run both open-mic slams and curated Main Stage shows in cities around the country. Their open-mic-style StorySlams can be a great place for beginners to try out storytelling. Speak Up is a Hartford-based storytelling organization run by Story Collider alum and internationally bestselling author Matthew Dicks and his wife, Elysha. They host live shows in Connecticut, as well as a podcast that features stories from their stage accompanied by commentary, critique, and storytelling advice.
