The Story Collider Is Expanding!
We’re delighted to share with you all today that The Story Collider is expanding its team in 2019, as we prepare to launch new Home Stage shows in five cities, including Dallas and Chicago. This time around, we’re looking not only for producers, but also for podcast screeners and even a full-time assistant director. Check out the descriptions below -- and if they sound like opportunities someone you know might be interested in, we’d appreciate your help in spreading the word!
Assistant Director
The Story Collider is seeking a full-time Assistant Director to help direct and develop programming for our live shows, podcast, workshops. This is a brand-new role starting in January 2019, created to help facilitate our growth as we expand next year.
Producers - Chicago, Dallas, and Beyond
The Story Collider is looking for new producers in Dallas and Chicago as we prepare for our 2019 launches in these cities! If you’re interested in becoming a Story Collider producer but are not based in Dallas or Chicago, we are also exploring opportunities in other cities, such as San Francisco, Nashville, and Columbus, Ohio, among others, so please feel free to reach out as well. Please note: These are not a full-time positions; producers are paid on a per-show basis.
Screeners
The Story Collider is looking to expand its pool of screeners for the upcoming year. Screeners are individuals who listen to raw audio from our shows in cities across the United States, Canada, Europe, and New Zealand, and provide their feedback and recommendations for our podcast. Because we produce around 300 stories at around 60 shows every year, and podcast only slightly more than 100, we rely on this feedback to inform our decisions. Please note: This position is fairly low commitment, and screeners will be compensated on a per-story basis.
We’re incredibly excited to welcome new folks to our team! If you have any questions after reviewing the above information, feel free direct those to stories@storycollider.org.
