Shane is a conservation biologist turned science communicator who earned a PhD by studying frogs and turtles (seriously). His interest in conservation lead him to work in policy as a Sea Grant Knauss Fellow, dabble in outreach with the National Academies, and landed him in the Sharing Science program at the American Geophysical Union. He takes a few weeks each summer to get back out in the field and catch frogs. He is @EcologyOfShane
