Ed Gavagan is the owner of PraxisNYC, a design/build firm practicing across a broad spectrum but specializing in boutique residences. In his day job, Ed creates homes and furniture for fancy people and humble folk the world over. He began telling stories in 2008 with The Moth, an organization dedicated to live storytelling. Ed has been featured on the Moth Story Hour on NPR radio and was included in their NY Times best-seller: The Moth: 50 True Stories. On the Moth's iTunes podcast, his stories have been downloaded over a million times. He gave a TED talk at TEDMed 2012 and speaks to a wide variety of audiences internationally. He lives in Manhattan with his wife and daughter.
